Rising Sun Holiday Cottages are managed by Carolyn and Allan Boddy and their family, who live in the adjacent farmhouse. Their aim is to ensure your holiday is a success. Rising Sun Holiday Cottage and Haddocks Nook Cottage are part of the Rising Sun Estate, which is privately owned.
Our family is passionate about the environment, in which we live, and we’re pleased to welcome you to share with us the delights of a North Yorkshire Holiday Cottage.
You can expect the highest standards from all our cottages, they include under floor heating, wireless internet, TV, DVD etc.
About Our Cottages
The Rising Sun Holiday Cottages exude warmth and comfort, not only in the living rooms but in the bedrooms with flat-screen digital TVs, modern ensuite facilities and luxurious furnishings.
From the living rooms, you can admire spectacular panoramic views of the Yorkshire countryside with the White Horse in the distance and the adjoining fishing lakes in the foreground. Relax in comfort on the leather sofas and rustic oak furniture whilst enjoying all the benefits of the modern kitchen with all the up to date appliances. For the Fishing Enthusiast
Complimentary day tickets for the adjoining Rising Sun Fisheries are included with the cottage rental. The lakes are stocked with common & mirror carp to 36lb, as well as ide, chub, perch to 5lb, tench to 3lb, crucian carp, roach etc.
The Beauty of North Yorkshire
We are just outside the village of Aldwark, 10 minutes from the A1 and 20 minutes from the historic city of York . Our nearest town is Easingwold, which is a typical farming market town. Aldwark is off the A19, which runs through the heart of scenic North Yorkshire. We are close to Kilburn, which offers probably the most stunning views of Yorkshire from the Cleveland Way.
